Complaint of Food and Services

I am so disappointed with both your food and service of your restaurant.

On the 14th Feb 2011, we visited your restaurant at 7pm with advanced booking, but we were asked to wait for more than an hour for the seat. Apart from the poor arrangement, we were treated in a poor manner too. However, we would like but we still wanted to eat at your restaurant because of our expectation of the food there. Unfortunately, the food we received were unsatisfactory. The main dishes were not hot enough with and had a poor smell, and most of the choices of desserts were sold out. We asked for a replacement, but the staff were not willing to help us, and treated us in an impolite way.

Since the poor experience we had in your restaurant, we certainly hope your restaurant to improve and offer us a reasonable explaination.

We are sorry that the service quality is not up to our usual standard on that night.

We always remind our staff to deliver high quality service and food. We also have a restaurant manager to ensure the service quality. Unfortunately, at that night, he was sick and applied a (...)leave. As a result, our restaurant is short of hands to serve and supervise the food quality at that night. Moreover, the company policy only allow manager to offer replacement to customers so the staff cannot provide the replacement to you. At that night, there are too many customers so the popular desserts were sold out quickly. Also, the temporary staff member did not familiar with our company standard of service, so he threated customer in a impolite way.

After that night , we had already (g...) back to our normal service. We will train staff extensively including the tempoary staff. We invite you to come again to enjoy a 20% off dinner set. We instructed the manger to contact you to make appropriate arrangement.

We appreciate your high expectation of our restaurant. To show our goodwill, we are enclosing with this letter a $500 cash coupon that you can use later on.(too generous?)
